…As off-the-wall as IN 7 may sound, Skorynkiewicz’s bet on the creativity of artists like Tina Maneca and Amy Neufeld isn’t unreasoned. These are artists who’ve already established themselves in a scene as competitive as ours. They may mess up or make monsters; what they’re unlikely to do is be boring. Art House Productions curator Andrea McKenna is an IN 7 veteran whose past works for Gardenship extended the spooky, otherworldly aesthetic of her paintings, is centering her video on one of the ghostliest pieces she’s got. A vine retrieved from a neighbor’s house is involved. So is fire.
