I met Joe in the Spring of 2013 on a job I was doing for a client.  In that first meeting, he told me he built custom furniture.  Well, it wasn't long before we became great friends and partners.  We went on to build custom and up-cycled furniture, art installations, set designs and all things brilliant with wood and paint.

He was a master carpenter, an artist and quite simply, a genius.

He was also a wonderful friend.

In November of 2016, he passed away and my life will never be the same.

The gifts he bestowed on me, the tricks of the trade he taught me and his overall generosity and kindness will live on in my memory and a little bit of him will show up in all the things I create.

Because of the installations we created together at the Art Factory in Paterson and basically everything else we did together, my life as an artist greatly improved.  I am grateful that in September, exactly two months before he died, we had a conversation that allowed me to thank him for all of this.  Once in a while we did that, we spoke of our appreciation for each other.  That alone is a gift.

There are no words for how much I miss him.
